Metallurgy coke

Metallurgical coke is the main energy-consuming fuel in steel-making furnaces. The function of metallurgical coke is to melt ore or other metal objects such as scrap steel in the furnace at high temperature to combine and increase carbon molecular elements in the metal structure. In addition, metallurgical coke can also eliminate impurities in ore and scrap steel in the form of waste slag in high temperature environments. The difference between metallurgical coke and foundry coke are that the metallurgical coke has the feature of small particle size, slightly higher sulfur content (generally greater than 0.1% -0.2% of cast coke), large porosity, good reactivity, and high strength after reaction and so on.
